To register for *826# services, follow this simple procedure;
- Dial *826# on your Union Bank account registered mobile number.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
- Or just dial *826*5# to create a transaction PIN directly.
Please note that the cost to enrol for *826# as well as make use of its services is zero naira(
N0) Zero Kobo(0K). It is 100% free!
However, there are charges for making transfers to other banks asides UBN. I will reveal the charge to you later in this article.
Oops! I almost forgot. Please have it at the back of your mind that you can only make fund transfers from your Union bank Individual current or savings account. All other accounts like Corporate; Joint; Target Savings; & Domiciliary accounts are excluded from using this service.
How to transfer funds to a UBN account
If you are transferring to a Union Bank account, there will be no deduction of any charges. It is totally free. Follow these steps to transfer funds to a Union Bank account;
- Using your registered mobile number on your Union Bank account, dial *826*1*amount*account no#
- Enter your 4-digit transaction PIN to authenticate the transfer.

How to transfer money to other banks account
Transferring funds from a Union bank account to other bank is not free. A service charge of
N52.50 is deducted from each transaction. The deduction is made directly from your bank account. Follow this procedure;
- Dial *826*2*amount*account no#
- Select the recipient’s bank from the list that will appear on your screen.
- Input your 4-digit PIN to complete the transaction.
Can I transfer funds on *826# with any network?
Absolutely yes! The service is available on all network service provides. For example, MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile.
Is there need to switch on my data connection when using this service?
No! You don’t need to switch on your data connection. All transactions are made via a USSD session. Therefore, you need to have a minimum of 10 naira in your airtime balance to initiate this session.
